Shipping & Refund Policy
We want every Calculus Publications customer to receive their order safely, accurately and in good condition. This Shipping & Refund Policy explains how we process deliveries, returns, replacements and refunds.
1. Order Processing
Orders are normally processed after successful payment and confirmation.
Processing time may depend on:
- Product availability
- Quantity ordered
- Customer location
- Bulk-order requirements
- Packaging requirements
- Selected delivery method
Customers placing large institutional or wholesale orders may receive a separate processing and delivery schedule.
2. Delivery Within Ghana
We aim to deliver orders to customers across Ghana through appropriate delivery or logistics arrangements.
Delivery times vary according to destination and delivery method.
Typical delivery may be faster within major urban areas and may take longer for locations outside major cities.
Customers will be informed of applicable delivery charges and available delivery options where these are applicable.
3. International Shipping
International shipping may be available for selected products and destinations.
International customers may be responsible for applicable:
- Shipping charges
- Customs duties
- Import taxes
- Clearance charges
- Other destination-country fees
Such charges are generally outside the control of Calculus Publications.
4. Delivery Delays
We make reasonable efforts to meet estimated delivery periods. However, delivery dates are estimates and are not always guaranteed.
Delays may occur because of:
- Courier or logistics issues
- Incorrect customer information
- Weather conditions
- Public holidays
- Customs procedures
- Transportation disruptions
- High-volume periods
- Force majeure events
Where a significant delay occurs, we will endeavour to assist the customer in determining the status of the order.
5. Customer Delivery Information
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information, including:
- Full name
- Telephone number
- Delivery address
- City or community
- Region
- Any relevant delivery instructions
Calculus Publications may not be responsible for delays or additional costs resulting from incorrect or incomplete delivery information supplied by the customer.
6. Inspect Your Order
Customers should inspect their order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
If an item is:
- Damaged
- Defective
- Incorrect
- Missing
- Significantly different from what was ordered
Please contact us promptly.
Photographs, videos or other evidence may be requested to help us investigate the matter.
7. Returns
A return may be accepted where:
- The wrong product was supplied by Calculus Publications
- The product arrived damaged
- The product has a manufacturing or printing defect
- Another verified fulfilment error occurred
Books returned must generally be in saleable condition unless the reason for return is damage or a defect that occurred before or during delivery.
8. Non-Returnable Items
Unless required by applicable law, certain products may not be eligible for return, including:
- Digital products after successful delivery or download
- Products damaged through customer misuse
- Products altered or marked by the customer
- Products returned without the required order information
- Specially customised products
- Certain clearance or promotional products where clearly identified as non-returnable
9. Refunds
Where a refund is approved, the refund method may depend on the original payment method and the circumstances of the transaction.
Refund processing may take additional time after approval because banks, mobile-money providers and payment processors may have their own processing periods.
10. Replacement
Where an item is confirmed to have been damaged, defective or incorrectly supplied, Calculus Publications may, at its discretion and subject to availability:
- Replace the item
- Provide an equivalent item
- Provide a refund
- Offer another appropriate solution
11. Wrong Address or Failed Delivery
If an order cannot be delivered because the customer supplied an incorrect address, unavailable telephone number or other inaccurate delivery information, additional delivery charges may apply if a second delivery attempt is requested.
12. Order Cancellation
Customers should contact us as soon as possible if they wish to cancel an order.
Cancellation is not guaranteed once an order has entered processing, packaging or dispatch.
If an order has already been dispatched, the customer may need to follow the applicable return procedure.
13. Bulk and Institutional Orders
Bulk orders for schools, bookshops, distributors, NGOs, churches, government institutions and corporate organisations may be governed by separate quotation, invoice, purchase-order or supply agreements.
Where such an agreement exists, its specific terms may take precedence over this general policy to the extent permitted by law.
