Our intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the content made available by Calculus Publications—including book titles, text, images, illustrations, logos, trademarks, graphics, website design, promotional materials and digital publications—is owned by or licensed to Calculus Publications and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Permission must be clear and written

Accessing our website or purchasing a publication does not transfer copyright or automatically grant reproduction, adaptation, distribution or commercial-use rights.

Rights may belong to Calculus Publications, an author, an illustrator or another approved rights holder. We review requests according to the material and proposed use.

Using our content

What is allowed and what needs permission

Generally allowed

  • Browsing our website and sharing a link to an official product or information page.
  • Using a legitimately purchased printed book for normal personal reading.
  • Using a purchased digital publication under the licence and access conditions supplied with it.
  • Using materials under a separate written school, institutional, distributor or partner agreement.

Written permission required

  • Reprinting or reproducing text, pages, illustrations, covers or substantial excerpts.
  • Translation, adaptation, dramatisation, audio, video, film, broadcast or digital-platform use.
  • Commercial copying, resale, redistribution, file sharing, uploading or creation of derivative works.
  • Use in course packs, anthologies, advertising, merchandise, events or public campaigns beyond ordinary quotation.

Digital publications licence

Where a digital edition is sold, the customer receives a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence for personal or otherwise authorised use. Unless Calculus Publications gives written approval, a digital file may not be copied, shared, uploaded, resold, publicly distributed or commercially exploited.
