Beneath the glow of moonlight, a different world awakens—a world of factory engineers, market porters, bakers, security officers, nurses, fishermen, drivers, and traders whose tireless work forms the spine of the national economy. From Moonlight to Morning Light: The 24-Hour Economy Story follows four university students who must shadow these workers for a full 24 hours as part of a high-stakes academic project.
Kojo, a quiet but observant Journalism student; Abena, a confident Business major; Mariama, a calm Social Studies researcher; and Selorm, the team’s comedic but brilliant IT student, set out to document Ghana’s after-hours economy. But what begins as a routine assignment soon uncovers deeper layers—mysterious sabotage attempts, hidden struggles of workers, and political
tensions threatening the stability of Ghana’s night economy.
As they journey from Tema Industrial Harbour to Kumasi’s Bantama Night Market, from Accra’s broadcasting stations to Cape Coast’s fishing docks, they witness stories of resilience, danger, hope, and sacrifice. They also discover that someone is monitoring their movements—someone who does not want certain truths exposed.
