Description
In lively Kumasi, Ghana, the local market is usually full of laughter, colourful stalls and delicious smells — until one morning when eight-year-old Kojo notices something is wrong.
The market feels quieter, some traders seem upset, and even the children’s games have stopped. Determined to help, Kojo gathers his friends — Adwoa, Nana and Fatima — to investigate.
Along the way they discover lost items, a missing goat and misunderstandings that are causing tension among neighbours. Using clever thinking, courage and teamwork, the friends help
solve problems, return lost goods and mend disagreements, slowly bringing joy back to the market. The Happy Market is a heart-warming story for ages 6–8, celebrating kindness, community spirit and the idea that small actions can make a big difference.
