Description
The town of Obuasi was bright and bustling — until one week when streetlights flickered, traffic signals blinked strangely, and power kept going out at night. Curious friends Kojo, Ama, Yaw
and Esi notice lights being left on everywhere — in schools, shops and empty corners — and realise the town is wasting electricity. If nothing changes, the situation could get worse. So
the children investigate, talking to neighbours, visiting the town council and collecting clues. As tension rises and Obuasi faces a real threat of blackout, they must use clever ideas, teamwork
and courage to help everyone understand that small actions —like switching off lights when not in use — can make a huge difference. Switch Off the Light is an exciting, educational
story about responsibility, community and environmental
awareness for young readers
