Ama loved her town of Kumasi, but something was missing —empty playgrounds, old benches and nowhere safe for children to play while grandparents watched. One day, walking with her
grandmother Nana Abena, Ama imagined a town where both children and elders could enjoy time together. With Nana’s encouragement, Ama gathered her friends — Kofi, Afia and Yaw
— and together they sketched designs, collected materials and persuaded townspeople to help transform fields into parks, gardens and benches. They even opened a library for
