Description
Kwame loved playing football with his friends on their street in Kumasi, but recently everything had changed. The street was dirty, children bumped into careless drivers, and blocked drains
caused floods in the rain. Kwame knew something had to be done. Together with his friends Efua, Kojo, and Adjoa, he began clearing rubbish, planting flowers, and creating colourful signs to
remind neighbours to keep the street tidy. At first, some adults doubted that children could make a difference, but the friends persevered. They faced surprises — a sudden storm threatened
their flowers and a lost puppy caused chaos — yet their courage, teamwork and creativity inspired everyone. Our Street Is Our Home is an inspiring tale of community spirit, responsibility and
how even small actions can make a big difference.
